Our service resulted from the frustration and inability to access the web when we were away from our computers. Some of the time we can find a friend or family member to help us out and look up the web for us but for the times that we can’t; we needed a solution.
We thought if we were having this problem – perhaps we were not alone! Surely lots of other folks would be facing the same problem. So, we hired a company to do some research. We found that more than half of the people, who were away from their computers, were calling their family and friends to look up the web for information. This information was something they could have found in 30 seconds if they had a computer in front of them.
Even though PDAs, Blackberries, and the I-phone are great devices, we are making sure that consumers have an alternative to access information from the web. When you are away from home, driving around in a new city, with two hungry kids screaming for McDonald's, it is a little hard to type on those little bitty key pads. Did we mention slow speed and difficult navigation? You get the point.
